Modesto Midnight Half Marathon

On August 8th, 2009, Matthew ran in the Modesto Midnight Half Marathon. 

He placed 11th in his division (15-19 year old Men) and placed 42nd (out of 216 men)  in the Men’s overall results with a time of 1:40:37! The pic below was from the newspaper at the start line…

Flowrider

Yesterday we took all the boys to Elk Grove to try the Flowrider, an indoor surf simulator.  Here is a pic of it without the water flowing…… Kev and the boys were on it for one hour.  You basically get a “turn” and once you wipe out, you get in line to try it again.

This weekend we went camping at Golden Pines RV Resort in Arnold CA with a group from our church!  This is the 2nd church campout we’ve attended.  Before that neither Kevin nor I have camped since we were kids! So even being called amateur campers would be a compliment!!!
